No, they typically don't make such comments; my bet is even if they are inclined to make this change, it won't happen until the Surge 2 (or whatever the Surge replacement is ultimate called) comes to market.
The above said, you can get Time and Date, so I suppose two out of three ain't bad. 🙂
Hi. At CES 2017 today updates were announced for the Blaze to bring it in line with Charge 2 HR. No mention of Surge. It's a 2 yr old model and I kinda think nothing will happen with a replacement likely due sometime this year. Might be wrong but nothings happened for months.

It is nice to have you here. Like you all said this is not possible at the moment, however you can have time and date on the same screen. So to me like @shipo said is not bad at all!
