I know that the surge is a one piece device, but the D ring at the end of the strap has just fallen off while I'm on holiday. I still have the spring pin and thankfully the surge didn't fall and get lost. Is this a spare I can get?

Definitely give them a call.  I did last Friday (for a different issue) and the woman I spoke with was a great help.

Asked for a new buckle to fit to the strap as it was otherwise undamaged, they sent me a new complete fitbit.

Great customer service, but how are they making a profit on the Surge if they are replacing so many units for strap problems?
