I can't speak for the Blaze personally (mine is on the way) but the fact you can choose many different bands should mean you can find one that works for you. They even have leather bands you can use.

I have returned my Surge due to a rash as well and while waiting I checked out the Blaze. It looks like the same band so not even going to attempt it. When did you ship your Surge back?

Default band is similar but they sell leather and flex (metal) bands as well. Of course, drives up the cost.

Hi,
Yes, I recently purchased the blaze on saturday 3/12 and by thursday 3/17 I had a rash. Strange thing is I have had both the fitbit force and fitbit charge hr and never had a rash. So, just an fyi the blaze can also give you skin irritation. It is very frustrating.

I had the Fitbit Surge for nearly a year, and constantly struggle with terrible skin irritation issues. I moved over to the Blaze, had it for about 3 weeks, and I haven't had a problem yet. Occassionally my wrist will get itchy, but if I take it off for a few hours, and put it on, never have isssues. And it usually takes a few days for my wrist to start itching, where with the Surge I would have a rash by day 2 or 3.
I have the default band, and it seems to work out well for me. But they are interchangable, so it's your best bet.

Thank you for your participation in the forums! I hope you guys are having a great day so far.
@Blade7658 Ohhhh myyy! You have to make a post when you get it!
@firsttimemomma @Ikethearmyguy The Classic bands of the Blaze are made of a similar material as the Surge's wristband; so I'd recommend to check on the Product Care tips posted above as a reference. However; we have wristbands that are made of different materials on the Fitbit Store.
@Terrmoni82 @branh0913 If you are experiencing irritation of the skin, please be sure to discontinue wearing the device. After having done so, please be sure to check and follow the tips of our Product Care page. If the irritation continues, please be sure to reach out to our Support Team, I'm sure they will be glad to further assist on this.
Let me know if you have any questions, take care!

I just purchased the Blaze today. I am weary about the GPS issue, but hope to enjoy the new look. I've had 2 surges and didn't know everyone was having an issue with the band breaking. This is the reason why I purchased the Blaze. Is there anything that can be done to repair the bands on the Surge?

Are you wary of the Blaze/GPS issue because, unlike your two former Surges, the Blaze doesn't have an embedded GPS? If so, your probably wary for good reason. Why? I run with a couple of folks with Fitbit Charge HR trackers and one with a Fitbit Blaze tracker, and none of them have the same GPS accuracy when in "thethered mode" compared to my Surge's embedded GPS. That said, my Surge isn't always accurate either; it is just markedly more accurate than the other trackers.
