Surge warranty

My Surge band is tearing away from the screws. After much research discovered that this is common problem with the Surge. For most people the problem happens while in warranty and fitbit will fix. But if that exceeds the 1 year warranty you out of luck and the response is buy new one. From brand loyalty standpoint if fitbit is going to make bands irreplaceable you may want to invest in out of warranty repair options that doesn't require complete replacements. That way consumers can trust the durability claims Fitbit makes about the Surge. I know I'm one person and my opinion real won't matter.

When the bands break, we're out of luck needing to get a new tracker if out of warranty.

Though Fitbit released the new Fitbit Blaze & Fitbit Alta which have replaceable bands.

Thank you for the reply and the promotion of new fitbit products. Based on your post here and comment about charge hr on another post, you work for Fitbit. The issue is with Surge that is still currently in Fitbit line-up. If Fitbit is going to sell this product they need to address the warranty around it. The bands don't hold up.

Surge band is pulling away from underneath at the screws.  This seems to be a design defect.  Is anyone else having the same problem?

Are you in Europe? It's a 2 year warranty here...
