I'm on my third charging cord for my Surge and none will charge my Surge! I'm getting so frustrated! It's only 2 yrs old and I'm ready to get something else? Any help?

Hello @CH65!

In this case I'd like to ask you some questions. What happened to the previous charging cables? When did you start experiencing this situation? Do you have any friend's or relatives that have a Surge? If so, please try to also use their charging cable.

In the meantime, I recommend that you try the following:

  • Clean the charging contacts on your Fitbit Surge using rubbing alcohol a toothbrush or a toothpick. Make sure to dry the contacts with a piece of cloth.
  • Try restarting your Fitbit. Press and hold the Home and Select buttons (left and bottom right) on your Fitbit Surge for 10 to 15 seconds, until you see the screen flash or start to dim. Let go of the buttons and the Fitbit should restart.

Look forward to your reply! Let me know how it goes.

I cleaned the contact with rubbing alcohol and tooth brush and it then
charged, however it still does not connect tightly. I have to move the cord
around to get the charging signal. Also now it will not sync to my app and
will not shut down by holding the left and bottom right buttons? This is
so frustrating.

You have really squeeze them.  Mine took a lot longer than I thought it should  and after the restart it said my battery was full. go figureSmiley Embarassed

Hello @CH65 and @chayden976!

@chayden976 Thank you for chiming in to help!

@CH65 I'd like to take a quick look into the syncing situation. Are you getting any sort of error message? If so, what does it say? What mobile device are you trying to sync to?

Look forward to your reply!

It took 4 days of trying to sync and it finally synced to my IPhone. I had tried numerous times to power down the watch and it would not power down.  It finally went to a slight fade and then after I took it out of my Bluetooth setting and tried again- which I have also had to do before and tried it before without success.  It worked.

Hello @CH65! Thanks for that update.

That is very interesting. I'd say that we keep an eye on the tracker's behavior for the next couple of days and see if it happens again. If it does, please let me know right away.

Let me know if you have any questions.
