My Surge suddenly stopped charging, I have had it for about a year and half. Is it still within the warranty period?

It depends where you are. The warranty generally runs for 12 months from purchase but this is 24 months if you are in Europe.

 

The best thing to do is to contact customer support via contact.fitbit.com They can check your status and advise on your options (whether you are in cover or not).
