I've worn it pretty regular. Here is my breakdown for the last three years.
Sync: Had an intermittent issue with this over the years. It would not sync even if I used phone app, or dongle. Seemed to work itself out on its own. Occasionally I will have to manually sync.
Charge: I've bought additional charge cables. The connection is so loose now I have to insert the cable, then pin the back of the watch against my monitor so the cable is pointed in a certain way (down), else it won't make contact and wont charge. Tried cleaning the contacts with Q-tip and alcohol but no joy.
Battery: No issues.
Smell: The band stinks. I've tried cleaning multiple times. Worn it in the shower. It still stinks and makes my wrist smell and sometimes my wrist get red with a slight irritation.
GPS: Doesn't connect as quick as it used to.
I'd say the $249.95 spent was worth it, but still had a small level of disappointment.
Not ready to take the Ionic plunge yet. Still on the fence.

Things do change over the years. 3 years and still going is good.
I have had mine that long as well it it looks brand new. One very small tear by the band but you really cant notice it.
As far as the smell I clean mine daily and dont have that problem
