My Fitbit Surge is connected to my Samsung Android phone by bluetooth. I know it is connected because it is tracking my heart rate. My phone is connected to the internet via home wifi which is working well. I have been waiting for over an hour now and just get the message "your sync has been scheduled and will start soon". I want to see how far and fast I ran on my morning run. My idea of "soon" is minutes not hours. Is the problem my setup or the Fitbit website?

Appears my surge has reached its built in life. Very disappointing. Won't swipe horizontally and sync's intermittantly. Good news for me I have got a Samsung gearfit and it is brilliant. Bad news for Fitbit - my wife was going to buy me a new fitbit for my birthday.
This is an issue that have experienced as of the last week also with my surge. I have to reboot my surge to get it to sync properly.
Best AnswerSo. The surge chooses to sync intermittantly. The swipe both horizontal and vertical works after multiple swipes in spite of a hard reset and now the gps has become inaccurate. I start and stop from home on an out and back run and the distance is different each way and my house has moved 300 meters West! It looks like 3 year is the shelf life of the unit. Time to replace. Unlikely to be a Fitbit
