Tried Surge Home > Select buttons for flash reset. Now stuck on --> screen. Will not start or shutdown. 😞 not very happy with my Surge. Seems to freeze for no apparent reason. Not wet or been in water. Just running or walking since I got in May 2016. ONLY 4 months old. WTH ?? Have tried all support resets for Surge to no avail. What do I do now?? Please help. Thanks in advance.

...plug in to wall or computer and continuously hold the left and bottom right buttons to reset since it won't power down untethered - should reset after you count to 30 but before you get to 50...

Sorry for the frustration; bluetooth updates are notoriuos for bad handshakes when your battery is low, always a good practice to have plugged in when updating.  The "stuck screen" or "freeze" only happens in the middle of an aborted sync or firmware update with a depleted battery 😉
