Unhappy with Fitbit surge biking interface

Does anyone know why support for fitbit biking is so poor? I had been using the Cigna app and it was pretty cool. I was looking for a solution that was more integrated but there is no solid functionality for biking.

Recommendations are to use "activity" but only three default options are run, walk...

There is an auto recognize feature for bike rides over ten minutes, but this is questionably effective.

Also, there is no feature for auto pause, which even the insurance companies have figured out.

What gives?

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @tunacity, thanks for taking the time to share your feedback in regards to the support for biking, it would certainly be great to have it as an activity you can track using GPS, you can share your comments and vote for this idea in the Feature Request board, this is actually available with the Fitbit Surge at the time since it has GPS integrated, you can also vote for the Auto Pass feature you mentioned as well.

The other function you mentioned is the Smarttrack feature, which recognizes an activity after 10 minutes of a continuous moderate-intense workout. Have you found any specific inconvenience with this feature?

Yes. The first ten to twenty minutes of my bike routine is walking the dog
so it doesn't register as moderate to intense activity.
