Walk and jog under same exercise with Surge

I do a 5 km exercise. If I have my Surge set for walk but I jog for about 3 minute spurts and then walk for a bit will my Surge record it proper, or should I set it up as a different exercise? I don't want to change from walk to run since I am trying to do this in a certain amount of time.

Hi @DwightC! Nice to see you around! Cat Happy

I understand where you coming from, I tend to do the same. In my experience, as @WendyB said, it's best if you don't change it, as you'll be pausing your activity. Once you've synced the information you can check the details and if you're using the GPS information, the distance and the steps will show correct.
