Recently got a FitBit surge, which I love.
I dont run - but do walk a lot. Although I see fitbit recognises it as activity and displays heartrate & calories etc - it doesnt seem to show my route, which I thought it could. This is both in the Iphone App & on the website.
Do I need to enablt this somehow, or does it not do this for walking?
Thanks - Lee

If you let SmartTrack automatically detect your walk it will not use the Surge's GPS and so it won't be able to show the route.
However, if you use the exercise tracking function of the Surge and select Walk then it will use GPS. See page 11 of the manual:

Note that using GPS does drain the battery much quicker and a full charge won't last more than 10 hours. Enough for a really long walk but you may need to recharge when you get home.
