What IS the blue light?

I have a Fitbit Surge that has the little blue light problem. The fine people in customer service have since shipped me out a new tracker and I couldn't be happier, still one thing vexes me: what IS the blue light? Well, I talked with customer service and they told me that it's an unexpected error, but I contend that if the error was unexpected, why was there an LED built into the design of the tracker to begin with? Also, what kind of error because as I'vecome to find out, there are red lights and also green lights that can come on. What are these lights an indicator of?

If I recall correctly, the dev team uses them.

@TheDuke A warm welcome to our Fitbit Community! As my friend @CoD mentioned, the blue LED is currently utilized internally by our team for testing and development purposes. We are considering the potential to use it for various types of notifications in the future, and will be sure to let you know if any Surge updates add that functionality.

Let me know if more questions arise my friend and I'll be around! Smiley Happy
