What Information Can Friends See?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Hello all,

I need a little help on something. I would love to have some friends to compete with however I have some concerns that I can't find answers to. The first is what information can my friends see during challenges and during regular days? Really what I was wondering was can people/friends see information like the maps of walks or runs you've taken or personal information like phone numbers, emails, or location. Let me know.

Toodles.

Hi, @ShortyGetsFit, by default your friends can see your weekly steps, your badges and trophies, and your friends on the app.  Your friends can also see your average daily steps and the country you live in.

On their web based area they can see your steps, distance, floors and time active graph over 30 days.

You can change these settings to private, or you can share more info.

No one can see any run map or specific activity unless you share it individually.

No one can see your phone number, email or location more specific than your country.

The whole world can see your Fitbit name and the date you joined.  You can't hide this information.  The who.e world can also see any posts you make in the Community (so be nice!)

I hope this helps.  Welcome to the Community.

Im going to answer this from a different point of view @ShortyGetsFit go to your profile page at https://www.fitbit.com/user/4XSCFN

Now in the top left you will see "As viewed by" followed by a drop down menu. From here you can choose You, Friends, or others/all ( im not sure exactly) this is a great way to check your settings.
