I have a fit bit surge I just bought it and I don't know what is wrong with this thing but it is tracking me driving and calculating it as steps I don't understand this is telling me I have 5195 steps and 2.1 Miles walked and I'm pretty sure I haven't done that also has me climbing 33 flights of stairs and I sure I haven't done that either this is very in accurate

It will if the rode is bumpy. A lot of people use an App called DriveBit on there phone and it will get rid of them

It's nice to see you around @gcaponejr Woman Very Happy! As my friend @WendyB said, I'd like to share with you what I do in order to get rid of those annoying driving 'steps'. I have downloaded the 'DriveBit' app to my phone and I've got to tell you it has worked wonders since it does all the hard work of having to manually negate those steps.

The best part is that it's free and the only thing you should do before starting to drive is linking it to your Fitbit accounts. You just open the app and tap Start and drive. When finished tap Stop/Cancel and it will automatically create a Driving Log negating steps and flights of stairs.

Hope that helps to you!

It is ludicrous to advise downloading a separate app to fix a Fitbit software issue....
