I am counting on purchasing a Fitbit Surge. I have had a Flex for years, and I feel like it is time to upgrade. I know two people who own the Surge, and they are happy with it. I'm looking forward to getting the extra features, and still get to use the Fitbit app, which is the only tracker app I have seen that truly meets my requirements. So, before I buy... what is the thing you really don't like about your surge? Why should I NOT buy it?

Hi @clinton113 I have a Surge owner in the family and they loved their Surge until they got the Sense. Thing is, when a style is retired, like the Surge, Fitbit only does updates on it for about two years. The Surge was retired June 2020, so it's already past the time frame to receive updates. You can learn more about it here - click to read. Having everything you want in a device is great, but ultimately, not being able to update it, might not be worth it.

My first thought, since the battery has not been maintained for at least 2 years. You may be buying a unit with an unreliable battery.
Second thought, the newer units are lighter, smaller, and have more advanced sensors. Another plus, easier to read displays.
Third, you are buying a unit without a manufacturers display.
Forth, you don't know the history of the unit?
