Window 10 PC and failure to update tracker - New surge

Help!  Tracker refuses to update.  Have tried all forums, helps and tips and used web chat ... still no solution!  Any advice?

Dongle? Or built in Bluetooth?

Try a restart then maybe connect to a smart phone if you have one. Did you download fitbit connect to update and set up your tracker? On your computer? I have windows 10 and it couldn't find my tracker via Bluetooth so I used fitbit connect.

might sound like a bit of a daft q's but what is fitbit connect?  is it the usb cable??

Also having the same problem with my surge, also tried both dongle and bluetooth to update, have the app and fitbit connect and neither are picking up the tracker

Fitbit connect is the program you download onto your computer to install
the fitbit if you don't have Bluetooth but you must have your dongle in the
USB port. Google fitbit connect or fitbit setup.

Try resetting the surge by holding in the left and bottom right buttons for
approx 15 secs or until screen starts to fade. Restart your computer open
fitbit connect click on your device THEN plug your surge into the computer
with the USB charging cable. Not sure if it will work but maybe worth a
try.
