With the Surge cord being about 1 meter long or 3 feet, I'm wondering how this can be to short?
Yes, as J-Flex says, I too find that sometimes the cable gets pulled out, and after plugging it in and laying both the tracker and the cable securely down, I take s quick peak to see if it is still charging. I will also listen and feel for the clicks that tell me the cord is secure.

Hello there guys! Your charging cable should hold your Surge properly, if the issue persists, I recommend contacting Support. I'm pretty sure they'll give the hand you need.
Keep me posted!
