adding a second device

The buckle came off my old Surge and Fitbit sent me a new Surge. I would like to add the new one to my account and keep the old one as a backup. The instuctions for doing this on Help refer to dashboards different from mine and so are useless. It appears to be impossible to do on my dashboard. My PC runs Windows 10 and I remember it was a complicated job to set the first device up because of this. Any one experienced this problem, or better solved it?

Hey hey hey @RobMy welcome to the Community! Robot LOL Actually it is not possible to have the same trackers paired to your account. So you when you complete the set up of your new Surge, the old one will be automatically removed, however the previous data won't be touched, don't worry. Smiley Wink 

Take a look into @AlejandraFitbit post that has the instructions to set up your new Surge using a Windows 10 computer.

Thanks. I figured out how to do it eventually. The instructions were in Help though they're weren't clear to me.
