app doesn't show partial laps, website offers partial miles

My old Surge used to show the partial mile/pace in the app, but my new Charge 3 only shows full laps/pace. When I login online, I can see both laps and miles -- with only the miles showing the final, partial mile pace. How do I change my phone app to once again show my pace for that final partial mile? Not sure what the primary difference is between a lap and a mile; I just want to see that partial mile again in the app without having to wait and synch to my laptop at home.

Interesting @bkaustin your asking a question about the app on the phone, without mentioning anything about the phone model. 

Mentioning that you currently have a Charge 3 but asking the question on the Surge Board. 

My Android app only shows a pace for every app on the android phone. Even the last lap which is always partial. 

Are you saying that the full laps have a pace shown and the last partial lap does not show a pace?
