I just home from work and picked up my Surge which has been sitting at my computer desk all day. It reads 34.01 miles and 65,231 steps. All of this was recorded in a 10 min span of 4:50-5PM. The bar chart (on the activities tab), however reads 450 steps for the day, and the Daily Totals at the bottom of the bar chart match exactly what the Surge is displaying. None of this is remotely correct and I can't understand how any device can log data of any sort while sitting motionless on a desk. Any ideas?

Hope your doin' well @daddydurb 😉 Well that's weird, do you have any ventilator near your computer desk? Sometimes this can affect on the steps reading because of the altimeter. In this case I would recommend to avoid placing it near a fan and a restart as explained by @SunsetRunner on this amazing post to be sure it is not an internal issue and see if this reproduces now on. In case it did, I'd suggest to contact support for further investigation.

Let me know if you have any other questions. Have a wonderful day! 😄
