fitbit surge and calories data

Hello, I have just recently purchased the fitbit surge.  My main goal for this post is to find out how (if possible) to reset/delete my calorie tracker data.  The data says it has been tracking data for the past 6 months, even though I have only been wearing it for a day.  Overall, I am looking for a way to, essentially, start from zero.  I have read some other posts that relate to my question and have read that his can't be done, or it is not possible to delete recent data such as (calories burned and "this week's calories burned").  Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you.

A warm welcome to the Fitbit Community @Kendyl318! Congratulations on your new Surge, I think that your account is just calculating the calories that your body burned during that period of time, without taking in count exercising, since you didn't use for that time, usually this information is not shown in the Account, since it doesn't affect your calories information.

When you entered your Profile data, (gender, age, height, etc.) to your Fitbit Account, it starts calculating your calories burned for the period of time that you're not moving or your not wearing the tracker. Since your body continuously burns calories when you're not moving, your Account has this extra feature to give you a better calculation for those Calories. If you check your Fitbit.com Dashboard under the section Log > Activity > Calories; and check those calories you will notice that it is not actually tracking but is calculating calories burned by body for those days. Smiley Very Happy

For example, this graph is showing the time line of my calories for this day, as you can see from 12:00 AM to 11:59 PM there is an specific amount of calories calculated throughout the day (the tiny lines), also from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM you will see the large lines that shows calories burned by exercising. Robot wink

At this moment there is no option to turn off this feature since it is something that the Account does by default, but this information shouldn't give you a major impact in your weekly stats. Smiley Embarassed

Hope this helps, I'll be around in case you have more questions! Heart
