Hi, there. I have similar problem: my time and date both are both incorrect after the battery nearly dying out. Now my surge can sync perfectly with my Android app, but the incorrect time and date doesn't change at all even I have restarted my surge for many time. The connection is fine because the heartrate and steps updating smoothly. Please help me fix this problem.

I tried to set my surge as a new device as suggested by another post, now it's getting worse! I cannot sync my surge anymore because this "Couldn't reach fitbit.com to sync" message appears all the time!

I shuted down my surge and started it again. Now it backs to be connected but the incorrect time and date are intact whatsoever.

Finally, my problem is solved. I kept my surge connected with my Android phone via classic bluetooth and set “all-day sync”, and finally put my phone and surge together for many hours; therefore they had tried many times to sync. Now the time and date is correct, but I am quite disappointed because a watch, no matter smart or not, should display the correct time or could be tuned to do so easily.
