I used to get emails telling me my Surge battery was low and now I don't.
I don't know what changed.
I have checked my notifications and the option for emails is on.
My email address is correct in my account settings.

Nice to see you here @RichardMW! Usually emails stop arriving when the tracker is not connecting to your Fitbit Account. How after do you sync your Surge? Since every synchronization feeds and updates your Account, if your Surge is not currently syncing the email won't be sent. Why don't you check that next time? As you already checked your settings information, I think that this can give you a hint of what is happening.
I'll be around!

The surge is regularly synching to my account, either through Android phone or desktop computer.
The account is getting updated multiple times / day with battery status.

Hey there @RichardMW! Thanks for the details. In this case why don't double check the information in your Dashboard from the Fitbit.com page from a computer or your phone browser. Go to Settings > Notifications > Low Battery. If the options to get Low Battery notifications are enabled, turn them off, sync your Fitbit; then turn them back on and sync your Fitbit again. Are you getting the reminder in your phone? Have you checked your Spam folder lately? Also, if you changed your email setting or privacy setting in your email, it might avoid you getting your notifications.
If you already check all this, the next option would be contact Customer Support so they can further investigate.
Have a great day, let me know how this works!

I just got a low battery email.
The problem was the indicator on the Surge showed almost zero battery.
When I checked in my dashbooard on my PC it showed medium battey. The Surge battery indicator was misleading.
I decided to delay charging and one day later I got a low battery email.

Hello @RichardMW! Thanks for getting back, that's odd. When your Fitbit Surge syncs the information with your Fitbit Account, both should be showing the same information in all devices. In this case I would recommend to restart your Fitbit Surge and force sync with your phone again. Then try to log out from the Fitbit App and log back in. Try this just to make sure they are connecting properly and to take care of the little bug that you mentioned.
Also, make sure that your Fitbit Surge is syncing throughout the day, as you did before. Hope this week you get the email on time with the correct information.
Keep me posted on the resolution, I'm always glad to see you face around!

Thanks for the suggestions.
I rebooted the Surge and then logged out and signed in on both my PC and my smart phone.
The indicators in both the Surge and the dashboards now seem to all show 50%.
Hopefully the batery indicators stay in sync as it approaches 10%
Question: what battery charge % triggers the reminder email? 10%? 20%?
Is there any way for me to customize that?

Hi @RichardMW! You're very welcome. I'm very happy to know that you're getting the correct information now! You get the battery notification and email after the first synchronization of your tracker, once it gets the 20% of the battery level. Which means that if your Fitbit Surge gets lower than that level, but your Fitbit is not currently syncing; the account won't update that information and the notification won't be sent.
About your inquiry, there is no option to customize that specific feature at this moment, since the percentage has been established by default on the device itself. But I think your suggestion is an excellent idea and I would like to encourage you submit it as a suggested idea, where members of the Community can comment and vote for it; so it can be implemented in a future update. You might light this one: Customise battery level alerts.
Wish you happy stepping and see you around!
