might give up on Fitbit

I started my Fitbit journey with a Flex.  I moved up to a Force, which was recalled.  I then upgraded $$$ to a Charge.  After owning the charge for almost a year, the band started breaking. I contacted Fitbit, who said I had owned it over a year, and it was no longer covered by a warrantee (when I had purchased my Charge from THEM, so they should have had the date), and I started gluing my band. That worked out okay, until now, about 1 1/2 years after purchase.  The band is now breaking on the other side, and the Charge is no longer holding a charge - even for one day (and yes, I tried the restart on it).  I'm back to my original Flex, which is taking forever to charge again (and I did a restart on that too).

I did like the phone call notification on my Charge, and not having to tap the Flex to record sleep - the very act of doing that wakes you up! But I kind of expected a $129 device to last more than a year.  Black Friday is coming up and there will probably be good deals on other devices.

You've certainly had your fair share of bad luck with fitbits. As you say, there are plenty of alternatives out there. Good luck with your search.
