reinstall surge after deleting it

My watch hadn't synced for about a week and I hadn't noticed. I continually tried to sync it and it wouldn't sync. I deleted my surge from the app and tried to reinstall it but it will not recognise it.

I am not starting from scratch so when I try and push the button for 3 seconds, it does not give me the Fitbit symbol, it just stays on the time and date. Any suggestions....

I don't think you're using the correct restart procedure for the Surge. This is how to do it:

  1. Press and hold the Home and Select buttons (left and bottom right) on your Fitbit Surge for 10 to 15 seconds, until you see the screen flash or start to dim.
  2. Let go of the buttons.
  3. After your screen turns completely off, wait 10 seconds and press the Home button to turn your Surge back on.

Give this a few tries though as it's known to not always work.
