i have just bought a replacement strap for my fitbit surge which is out of warranty but am reading now that there isnt and replacement strap for the surge ... what am i getting wrong?

Maybe you bought a third part replacement strap? I can not say how it will work. You on your own for this

I have bought 2 replacement bands for my surge from e-bay and Both work great. different color options also. they come out of China & takes about  2 weeks plus they were both under $5.
