surge charge cable

Suddenly charge cable is not recognised by pc and will not work. Unable to charge unit or upload data. any suggestions please

if the cable will charge your fitbit via a usb plug then the cable is ok, if not then a replacement is needed.

try another usb connection.

Not knowing what O/S you run on the pc, you could plug the fitbit and cable into pc (if cable ok) and go into settings and device manager to see if the fitbit shows up. If it does show up in device manager just right click and uninstall the fitbit.

hopefully when you re insert the usb charger cable te drivers will re install and the pc wil recognise the firbit

if it doesnt show up and the cable is ok then further investigation is required

same thing with me ,it still does the same thing after uninstall

but it charges

you have uninstalled the drivers for the fitbit ?? but it still charges ?

 

after uninstalling drivers reboot both devices and see if it helps

Hello, @campbellsoup@heathgk! It is nice to see you. Cat Very Happy I would suggest you to try a different USB port to confirm if its the charger that's not working.

Also if you have a friend that could lend you a charger, you could try it and let us know what happens.
