I have a running partner that I run side by side with, our GPS's are always different... sometimes by as much as 10seconds per km even though we are literally running step by step together. I find it odd. Any insight to this?

Hi beautiful, @MovingMomof5! Welcome to the family! What is exactly going on with your GPS? Could you please be a little more specific? Is the map the problem, the distance?
We don't recommend to compare information with other Fitbitters because your information is unique since it is calculated based on you, by this I mean your personal information. So it is Ok to have different results, since you stride length is not the same either.
And like our good friend, @dibby said, there is a lot of information about this topic. I recommend trying the search tool by writing key words like: "GPS not working" to find what you want.
In the mean time, I suggest in restarting the tracker by doing the following:
1. Press and hold the Home and Select buttons (left and bottom right) on your Surge for 10 to 15 seconds, until you see the screen flash or start to dim.
2. Let go of the buttons.
3. After your screen turns completely off, wait 10 seconds and press the Home button to turn your Surge back on.
Keep us updated! 🙂
