I have a surge, about two years old, but due to replacement several times, this one is barely a year old. i've spent three days and countless hours on the chat line. first it went blank. then it wouldn't sync. finally somehow hot it to sync, but now it won't again. many hours on chat line and the only answer I get is that it's defective, and i'm out of warranty.

Try a restart. Do it at least 3 times.
