Hi all,

I had the Ultra for over 4 years and loved it, when it died I replaced it with the Surge and was happy in the beginning but 16 months after purchase it refused to keep a charge and I had purchased the extended warrenty thru Sports Authority so I sent the Surge back - it cannot be fixed so they are sending me my money back.

I won't buy the Surge again and have been thinking about the new Blaze.  What is your opinion on the Blaze?

I did use the Surge for running/walking and weight training and I would like to use the new product for the same features.

Thanks

CLaudette

Thanks for getting back @claudette37, it is very odd that your previous Charge 2 showed innacuracy while running, if you were using the Smart Track feature, which is the feature that automatically tracks activities, but doesn't showed the distance stats; you can turn off this feature and track it with the Multisport instead. Too bad that you didn't keep it to give it a try with this suggestion. Robot Embarassed

But, about Fitbit Blaze, you have the option to track your running/walking and weight training activities with this splendid tracker. It has the Connected GPS, beautiful color Touchscreen, Music control, Multi-Sport Tracking & Connected GPS, PurePulse™ Heart Rate and Reminders to move. I'd definitelly try the Blaze, since it's very attractive and has awesome features that you can use while running.

Hope it helps! I'll be around if you need anything else. Smiley Wink

I thought the Blaze would be the next logical step for me too however now seeing features such as cardio fitness/ gudied breathing/ move reminders arent inlcuded it make sit a tough choice. It does have the on screen workouts though. But definately the surge is not the way to go for me anymore given it only gives my GPS and none of the other attractions that come with the models below. I can see the surge falling out of the market.

I would only stay away from the charge 2 as I suspect the fixed band will have the same splitting issues I have with my surge and given its not as wide the splits will be more of an issue.

Hey there @claudette37! Thanks for being loyal to the Fitbit family, depending on your activities as @Plucky mentioned the Charge 2 has more features such as the breathing sessions you can compare both devices at this page.

Keep me posted!

I had the Charge 2 and returned it after 2 weeks as it was so inaccurate.  one day I walked outside on my normal 4 mile walk( this is a route I used when training for a 1/2 marathon, so I know its on point) and the Charge 2 only logged it as 2.02 miles with 5312 steps - way off.

So now I have been without a tracker for over 2 weeks and have not decided on the next one - another fitbit model or a different brand all together.
