My surge seems to be connected with my phone but every time I go to Bluetooth it says unable to connect to surge , says I'm friends with people but can't see any info about them or how much they have walked, don't see notifications on my surge when a text message comes across like it supposed to do , seems like it's only half working , any help

Had similar issues, remove the device from your account and re-setup with your phone.

Notifications for txts, if it's just saying "new message" and not giving you the text then I'm guessing you're using android? go to messages > settings > notifications and then enable "preview messages" to be able to see them on your surge.

On the phone app, go to Devices in the menu, press and hold on the "Surge" line and hit "Remove device".

Go through the setup process again and see if it works

Notifications wise follow the steps in this article - https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/How-do-I-use-call-and-text-notifications-with-my...

Let me know how it goes, hope it fixes it...

Try going into the bluetooth settings on the phone and deleting the Surge.

Looks like you are running a very old Android version?  That might be a problem.

It's a note 4 and the system is up to date

In that case try removing the Surge from the list of paired BT devices and see what happens.

It won't remove it and when I try to pair it it says "pairing rejected by surge"
