Hey Fitbit Community,
We're thrilled to announce exciting new updates for Fitbit Ace LTE just in time for the holiday: Season 3 - Family Matters.
Your feedback matters!
We continue to improve Ace LTE based on your feedback in these forums and we’re excited to share that your most requested change is now available!
Siblings within the same Google Family group can now call and message each other when added as contacts in the Ace app. Whether they have the Ace app installed on their own phone or their own Fitbit Ace LTE, siblings can now make calls and send messages. Learn how to get started here.
Also, if you’re planning to get a Fitbit Ace LTE for another child in your family to make sure no sibling is left out, enjoy 50% off on the second annual Ace Pass data plan–available now through January 31, 2025!
Family group chats are here!
A big part of the latest update is the all-new Family Chat, a space where you can communicate with members of your Google Family group.
As a parent with parental or manager permissions in your family group, simply enable Family Chat from the Ace app and the group chat will be available on your child’s Fitbit Ace watch. Family members who are signed in to the latest Fitbit Ace app or have their own Fitbit Ace LTE will automatically be added to the chat.
Family Quests just in time for the holidays!
Family Quests are a fun way for kids, siblings, and parents to work together to achieve movement goals. They are released at the beginning of each month and appear both on the Ace LTE (just below Daily Quests) and the Ace app. By completing these challenges, you and your family can unlock early access to new games in the Fitbit Arcade, and epic items and rewards for your child’s Fitbit Ace LTE. Just make sure to update your Fitbit Ace app to the latest software version, opt in to participate, and you’re good to go.
Over the next few months, we’ll add support to sync your fitness apps and trackers with Family Quests too. But for now, get ready! Starting on November 18, we will begin releasing our first Family Quest: Turkey Berserky! Complete the challenge by the end of the month to reveal a festive reward for your kid.
And that’s not all!
More to come…
We’re working hard to release the next request on the list. Coming soon, parents will be able to respond with voice messages from the Ace app. We’re also adding the ability to download and save those precious voice messages from your kids.
