Hello,
Although I have seen similar posts none of them really seem to apply to what happens in my case and I was hoping someone might be able to help me.
On MFP I have a "lightly active" profile. I am a teacher, so the description there fits my case as "teacher" is one of the examples given.
I have successfuly used it for a long time. It asks me to eat about 1500 calories a day to lose weight rapidly.
The thing is I now have a fitbit. According to fitbit, I can eat almost 1000 calories more than what MFP says... that's a BIG difference as far as I can tell... if I sync my fitbit with MFP, MFP reflects my walking throughout the day and this difference becomes even larger... Last night on MFP at dinner time I had already eaten about 1000 calories and it said I could still eat another 2000.... that's a total of 3000 calories a day... I did walk a total of 12,000 steps during the day, but I find it hard to believe that would give me an allowance of an extra 1,500 calories on top of the 1,500 I can eat every day...
What can I do? I can simply not sync my fitbit with MFP, but then it kind of loses any purpose other than as a simple pedometer....
Or am I wrong and I have been starving myself by eating only 1500 calories (plus excercise when I hike which I do register on MFP)? I don't feel like I am staring myself and I have been using MFP at this setting successfuly for a while now...
Ideas?

Hey there @rozojc, sounds like you have a calorie discrepancy between MFP and Fitbit. I'd recommend checking out this post I made in a similar thread. That might give you the answer you're looking for.
