I have been a MFP user for 2 years and it has worked well to help me lose weight. I was given a FitBit Charge HR for Christmas and do not understand the way my exercise from the FB transfers to MFP. According to FB, my morning workout burned 215 calories, but MFP says I have earned 85 calories (earlier today it said 127 calories). Why is the number different? In researching getting a FitBit, we understood that it and MFP were compatible. Having a roving exercise number throughout the day makes it very difficult to monitor my eating!

It's a bit confusing, but explained here:
After you read that you may still be confused until you read it again.
Bottom line, MFP keeps adjusting your remaining cals based upon updated throughout the day from FitBit.

Well its "incorrect" during part of the day because MFP can only guess at the calories you are burning, and then it updates the correction when new data comes over from FitBit. As the day goes on that gap should narrow and then be pretty much gone by midnight. You can make sure that FitBit and MFP are both set to the same time zone.
If you're frequently finding a big adjustment, you could try changing your activity level at MFP. For example, if you told MFP that your activity level is sedentary, but you're walking or exercising each day, then the "adjustment" is going to be bigger because MFP is guessing based on that activity level. So if you up your activity level choice at MFP it may reduce the needed adjustent since MFP should be guessing closer to the reality.
