So yesterday I was having a lot of trouble with my new Fitbit (Charge HR). Despite it continuing to log my steps, it stopped "talking" to MyFitnessPal at around 5pm. I had to go and unlink the apps from each other, chase my tail and then all was updated....and I went up to a 520 calorie burn for the day, for walking 5100-something steps. I was glad for that increase because I was still hungry. So I have my evening snack and go to sleep. Then I wake up to see on MFP that suddenly I'd gone OVER yesterday's calories by nearly 300 because at some point in the night Fitbit changed its calories to 193.
Now it's morning, and according to MFP, Fitbit has already added 165 exercise calories for the day.
I switched to Fitbit because I'd been using a Jawbone UP3, and for 5000 steps it had been giving me an additional ~ 900 calories for the day which was clearly very excessive. A friend told me their Fitbit was much more realistic, so I changed. But this seems awfully LOW. I have my settings at Sedentary in MFP. I'm female, weigh 295. I'm using this all for weight loss (obviously) and thought that the ChargeHR would be the most accurate in calorie counting because it would know my heart rate and know that some steps are just steps, but some steps are tougher and my heart rate is increasing. I am super frustrated and it's just not cool to change my calories like that on me. Weight loss has always been extremely hard for me and I figured this would help, but it's just making things more confusing.

Welcome to the account @LisaCT221! To resolve this I recommend unlink and relink your Fitbit and MFP accounts. You also need to check that your tracker is syncing properly, this will help to keep the information up to date.
Good luck!
