Can I compete with friends using an iwatch?

I have a few friends with iwatches. I don't really have any interest in getting one. But I am considering a fitness tracker. Can iwatch users download the fitbit app and sync steps and accomplishments so that we can compete with each other like other fitbit users? What about Garmin users?

@music_man185 It's great to have you here! I don't think that's possible. Currently, you can link Fitbit with Garmin by doing this procedure . However, you won't be able to compete with your friends just the activity will sync between both apps.

Hope this helps.

So my wife was in this situation and there was an app that appeared to work then with the last update.. this is no longer the case, it appear the steps recorded on the iWatch when any kind of sync happens on the apps the Steps are transferred across as an "Actvitity" which doesn't appear to work with the Challenges.

What we did (Which kinda ticks me off) is we ended up pickign up a zip so she could compete with Fitbit pals.

Im not saying this is done on purpose but, but why is it so hard? Could it be because the Blaze about to ship?
