Can I sync a Flex with a Raspberry Pi with Bluetooth dongle?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Hi,

I have a Raspberry Pi with Bluetooth dongle. Is it possible to talk this way directly with the fitbit Flex (over Bluetooth)?
Or the only way is to go through the fitbit server (Fitbit Device _over_BT_to Fitbit App (Android/iPhone) _over_WiFi_to theFitbit Server _over_WebAPI_to my App)?

Thank you in advance!

Welcome to our community @venstar!  If you want to use the Dongle, you need to download the Fitbit Connect Software in your Computer. If you want to have this information in your mobile device, please check our list of supported devices for sync.

Hi @VivisFitbit!
Thank you for the welcome and the reply. It seems that your Connect software cannot be run under Linux that runs on my Raspberry Pi. And also, it seems that it does not offer a solution to my use case. It acts as a interface to your server while I am interested in a direct communication with the device (on BTLE level)
Kindest regards!

Hello @venstar! Thank you for getting back I appreciate your understanding for this. If you want to use your device to sync with your tracker directly, feel free to submit your idea in our Feature Request board. I recommend looking for similar ideas or submit yours if you don't find any.
