Syncing with multiple other apps

Hi,

I'm trying to figure out the best way to connect FitBit to MyFitnessPal, FitStar and Endomondo.

What's the best chain? Ideally I'd like excercise activities to override FitBit data (e.g. if I'm cycling, I don't want any "steps" to be recorded or if I'm running, I just want to see the run, not the steps).

Also does the HR data connect back into Endomondo/FitStar to adjust the calorie count accordingly?

Thanks a lot!

Welcome on board @Cho_ok! I'm happy to know you want to share your information with other apps. Since MFP syncs your activities to Fitbit, I recommend linking your MFP and Fitibit accounts and log your activities in MFP.

If you want to log Endomondo and Fitbit, you'll get your steps, distance and sleep from Fitbit to Endomondo and your activities (workouts) from Endomondo to Fitbit. You'll get your workouts from FitStar to Fitbit. Currently Fitbit is not able to share the heart rate with other apps, rest assured that our engeneers are working hard to bring us this as soon as possible.

Hi Vivis,
Thanks a lot for your reply!
Unfortunately, I can't connect FitStar to FitbBit. It says it's connected in my FitStar profile, but I think I revoked access in my FitBit profile and now I can't reset it 😞 So I have to keep thinking through MFP still.. If this is someone you could help me with, that would be great.
In the meanwhile I'm looking forward to the HR data syncing back to other apps to adjust calorie count. Another great thing to do would be to use HR data in FitStar PT to assess the optimal exercise intensity in the personalised workouts.
Thank you

I started a thread about this, but never got an answer. I am trying to link my fitbit with Dailyburn for my workouts on there. Is this not possible?

@BitterGreg thank you for stopping by! Currently this app is not in the list of apps that share information with Fitbit. Smiley Frustrated. However, I encourage you to take a look to this apps, I hope you find one that works on the way you need.

Customer support helped me in the end. I reset my password in FitStar and then managed to disconnct and re-connect FitStar to Fitbit
