I have had an Alta HR for a while and just recently I started using Strava.

I linked up the accounts and it seems it worked but I don't see my heart rate activity on Strava.

It probably is not possible with the Alta HR @Zantozzzz 

You would need to start the exercise recording from the wrist. An option the Alta HR does not have.

That's unfortunate. I used to be able to track my HR during my runs while using my phone's GPS. Is this fitbits way of forcing me to buy a new monitor?

Hello @Zantozzzz ,

yes, the possibility to record HR when tracking the session via Fitbit app has been taken away a couple of years ago for some reasons that Fitbit has clarified as feature removal and not as a bug. I can't provide you any reasons.
