How can I join a fitbit challenge with my garmin?

Hi, @floridagirl55! You need to have the Fitbit app on your phone/tablet. You can join the challenges only from within the app.

I have been using a new Garmin for runs, also connected to Strava as is my Fitbit app. Fitbit does seem to capture the Garmin data from Strava, noting the runs, total distance and time (though not the net run time), and the number of steps, and the app credits me the steps on the main screen.

 

But the challenges do not count my runs' steps. So the bulk of my steps aren't included in the challenges. Makes the challenges mostly pointless, if you can't get credit for the runs.
