Can the Charge 4 connect to Strava (heart rate monitor)?

Hi, I can connect my charge 4 to my iphone 8 with bluetooth just fine. However when I go on the Strava app and select heart rate monitors it does not find the charge4 it just keeps searching for devices. Is the charge 4 not comptabile with strava for the heart rate monitor ? I've connected strava and my fitbit account so that is all fine but the app itself does not connect to my charge 4 to act as a heart rate monitor which was the main reason i bought this ?

I'm sorry to hear about the difficulties you experienced. Thank you for trying to get them resolved before contacting us.

 

If you have followed these instructions to connect your Fitbit account with Strava, you just need to track your activities with your Fitbit Charge 4 and they'll be synced automatically to your Strava account.

 

For instructions on how to track your activities with your Fitbit device, please visit this article and open the menu "How do I start and stop a workout on my Fitbit device?".

@EdsonFitbit that's not what @SunsetRunner is asking.

 

No Fitbit can broadcast heart rate measures so you're not doing anything wrong, simply you can't.

 

And, despite the 880 votes, Fitbit closed the suggestion as not currently planned where the word "currently" can be safely removed.

Would've been the first time, that a) support gives any type of HELPFUL support, and b) taht the charge 4 can do ANYTHING right.

When I ordered this thing I didn't think to check if I could sync it with Apple Health, use it as an onscreen HRM for Peloton, connect it to my Wahoo bike computer, or Zwift on my AppleTV, because it's the goddamned year 2023.

 

Is this some kind of joke? I've got a $150 device on my wrist that is gimped to hell and back. Unbelievable.
