So I figured out that I need to import the .tcx file of each workout so that I can load them onto Map My Walk to record workouts (I really thought the Fitbit would load the workouts straight to other apps - but it only records steps taken on My Fitness Pal - nothing is recorded on Map My Walk).
Anyway, I did it once. I successfully imported the .tcx file from Fitbit to my laptop then uploaded it to Map My Walk. Yay!
I went to do the very same thing the next day with another workout only I now get an error message when I try to load it onto Map My Walk. I am not sure why it suddenly doesn't work?
Has anyone else had these issues? It's annoying enough that I have to log into my PC to load workouts onto other apps that are meant to connect to my Fitbit but it's extra frustrating when even that doesn't work!

Hello @Debstar2, welcome aboard to the Fitbit Community. When ti comes about third party apps we don't have control of which information is going to sync. Since this depends of the developers who uses our open API how is going to operate the integration with Fitbit.
In the case of the MapMyWalk, is part of the programs of MapMyFitness and your data will sync from Fitbit to MapMyFitness programs. However MapMyFitness activity doesn't sync to Fitbit.
The information shared across the integration is the following:
Fitbit > Distance > MapMyFitness apps |
Fitbit > Calories > MapMyFitness apps |
If you are experiencing issues to upload a TCX file to MapMyWalk, please contact the support of MapMyfintess for more details. At the moment we don't have reports this applications is failing from our end.
Catch ya later!
