Hello,
I recently got a fitbit Charge 3 for Christmas and wanted to use it to help enhance my run tracking. I currently use Strava on my phone to track all my runs today. I went for my first run while wearing my new fitbit and ran into a few issues.
Firstly, I decided to track my run in the Strava app and did not select the run workout feature on my Charge 3, but the Charge 3 still recorded the run so it duplicated in my Strava app. Is there a way to stop this from happening? And is it better to record my run one way versus the other (i.e. using the Strava app or using the Charge 3 run tracking feature)?
Secondly, if I did decide to just record my run in the Strava app, is there a way to connect Strava to my Charge 3 so that this run would still get my heart rate measures from the Charge 3 during the time period of my run?
Hope this makes sense but happy to clarify if need be!
Thanks for the help.

Hello @jtomchek your Charge 3 recorded your run with auto detection.
You also used Strava. This is why 2 runs are recorded.
Two choices
Will the heart from Fitbit show on Strava if recording with Strava? no.
Will heart rate show on the Fitbit record if using Strava to record the run.
I'm not sure.
What is better, that would be your decision.
What is more convenient? Keeping the phone in a pack and recording from the wrist.
