Charge 4 - MyFitnessPal not syncing with Fitbit

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I think this is an ongoing issue but I’d really like an update and solution.

This is only getting worse.

Now when I go in my app and click on the apple icon (where it says ‘calories in’ / ‘calories left’) the page with all the stats / today’s summary

shows - 0 calories in and 1318 calories out *every single day*, NO MATTER how many calories were actually in and out.

Moderator edit:  updated subject for clarity

I basically have no idea how many calories over or under I am.. where can I find this info since the app isn’t working?

Hi @gs_g ! Nice to see you around. Thank you for your message.

Please make sure that you have the latest Fitbit app installed.

Just to avoid confusions do you protocol your meals with the Fitbit app?

Do you see the same information on the online Dashboard? (fitbit.com)

Hi Juan,

my app is definitely up to date, and I have my fitness pal synced with it

Hi @gs_g !Thank you for your reply and further information.

It seems then that the information logged in MyFitnesspal is not synced to the Fitbit app.

Please make sure to have the MyFitnesspal app also up to date.

Please try removing the connection between accounts and setup it again.

Hi again. This is a known issue. There is another thread where people complain about this. It has nothing to do with my fitness pal. There are inconsistencies between the first and second screen. But I’ll triple check what you mentioned

So it looks like Fitbit had somehow been disconnected. Now I’ve reconnected it and today’s calories count is correct - no mismatch between main screen and the screen that appears when clicking on the apple icon.

However, there is still a mismatch for all the past days, and I’m referring to when the app was synced. Why is that? I’d assume if the issue has been fixed it should be fixed for all the days I’ve entered my calorie intake, not just from today onwards (?)

Same. Mysteriously disconnected and had to manually reconnect but just today’s info synced. I noticed Ed a Fitbit app update about a week ago which is about when the last mfp sync appears to have occurred.

Glad to hear I’m not imagining things 😅 and it’s good that (if) the calorie mismatch issue was solved. But such a shame that all the months of logging calories don’t show up accurately - was hoping once the issue got fixed everything would get fixed, retroactively too

So for no other reason than curiosity I deleted and then added an exercise I did yesterday that I logged in mfp. I then forced a Fitbit app sync and bingo it was there. So syncing seems fixed but not for previous days. 🙁
