The connection between my charge 4 and Myfitnesspal App has dropped 3 days in a row. It reconnects ok, but I don't know what is causing it in the first place.

MyFitnessPal is currently working to resolve an issue that prevents some users to sync their data with them. If after reconnecting your Fitbit account with MyFitnessPal you continue having difficulties, you can give a try to the troubleshooting steps provided on MyFitnessPal web site.
