Creating Recipes on Food Log

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

The Blaze claims to be compatible with other aps such as My Fitness Pal but I do not see any evidence to support this.  I am trying to log my food to get a better and more accurate calorie count.  I have a lot of recipes stored on My Fitness Pal but I do not have access to them on the Blaze.  If I try to recreate the recipe, I find that I cannot create a recipe with FitBit.  I would have to log everything in separately.  Can’t I just select Turkey sandwich?  Why should I log two pieces of bread, ¼ lb of turkey, tsp mayo, etc…  Am I missing something because I have searched and tried to find a way to do this and I cannot find them.  Secondly, My Fitness Pal has different and more specific exercises to choose from including special group fitness formats such as Les Mills or Insanity.  “Kickboxing” is not the same as Les Mills BodyCombat.  It would be nice if that were available for the Blaze or at least be able to create a “custom” work out.

Hi there @Pianogaljsu. Good to see you in the Community! 🙂

MyFitness Pal and other third party apps are compatible not precisely with your tracker but with your Fitbit account itself. MyFitness Pal, should be compatible with your Fitbit account and this is what it will do:

"Connect your Fitbit and MyFitnessPal accounts, and see all your nitritional meal summaries, macronutrients and other MyFitnessPal data in your Fitbit account. You can also see calories burned as recorded by your Fitbit tracker in your MyFitnessPal account to get a more complete picture of your health."

To learn more about the integration with Fitbit, you can take a look at the details page by clicking here.

Hope this helps and if you need anything else, let me know. I'll be glad to help!

From what I understand is that most people use the Fitbit to track their calories and log their food into MFP.
Take a look at www.fitbit.com/apps for connection info.
I'm moving this post to the third party section, where their should be someone who knows more.
