Data Complied From MapMyRide Vs. Surge Data

I have a Surge however I use my mapmyride app on my phone to measure and track my bkie riding.

However, I also have my Surge on while im riding and its calculating steps too....

So when I go to add my calories burned and distance I rode on my bike, do I subtract anything from the Surges input this way I am not doubling up on activity?

Which is more accurate because the calories I am burning in a 1 hour bike ride seems to show more vs. the fitbit.

Its also showing the amount of steps per day I am taking is also being recorded from the ride I am taking on the bike... so my question is which is more accurate and or should I add the mapymyride data too??

can someone also tell me if the vitbit is waterproof!~ LOL!

Thanks.

Welcome on board @emansland, I'm glad to know you like biking! Fitbit sends distance and calories to MMR. All the information that you record with your app, will stay on your app, so the steps recorded by your Surge, wont affect your biking activity. If you want to get more accurate readings from your Surge, I recommend using your Surge on Biking mode. This will transfer your calories and distance from your Surge, based on a biking activity.

Currently the Surge is not waterproof, is water resistant, you can get more info on this article

Hope this helps!
