I'm new to fitbit. I read somewhere that you shouldn't manually add step based exercises, especially when using Fitbit and MyFitnessPal in conjunction. Is this true? Does Tennis apply to this? If so, do I add it on MFP under exercises or do I manually log it from the wristband or Fitbit app?
If I do add it manually on MFP, and wear my Fitbit band while playing tennis, won't that double the recording of my exercise?
*I have a Charge 2 if that changes anything.

Hello @DuuudeMaaan, it's nice to have you here in the Fitbit Community. This is a good question and when it comes about third party integrations it might get tricky, but is very easy.
If you have your Fitbit Dashboard connected with MFP there is no risk of duplicate number if you don't log your exercise in both accounts.
In the case of tennis since the activity is something that is not entirely steps based like a regular walk, my recommendation is to manually log your exercise. To learn more about this please take a look at this post. Once you logged your exercise on your Fitbit Dashboard this will share your calories on MFP.
Now if you logged the exercise on MFP, this will appear as manual activity on your exercise section of your Fitbit account. So the as you see there is no difference in logging your exercise in any of the two accounts, is just matter of not logging in both accounts to duplicate your numbers.
As additional note to learn more about which data will sync MFP with your Fitbit take a look at this post.
Hope this helps and let me know if you have additional information.
