Do third party scales work or not? So much conflicting information

I had expected the aria scale i ordered to provide body fat, because evidently previous models did and they only had the one scale on their site. That turned out to be false

I got one of those omron body fat machines, but its kind of a drag to separately enter it, particularly when fitbit doesnt let you manually enter body fat on the same entry the scale enters.

I am seeing many ppppl saying that the withings body+ isnt syncing. is this a known fact that everyone has a problem with, or is it some users only?

I got a scale about 3 years ago from Amazon. It's called Fitindex and the app it uses has the option to integrate with fitbit. It works great for me, and it was about 35 dollars.

I wanted to add, it does Weight, bodyfat percent, muscle mass, skeletal muscle mass, hydration, protein, bmi, and also gives you an estimated body age based on your measurements

I have used a Withings scale for years for the same reason. I don't know why Fitbit dropped the features.

Down side is that the connection will periodically stop working. Usually involves time of both parties blaming the other until it is fixed. Currently the sync has stopped for me again, which is why I was on here.
